Inside Out delves into the personal and intimate world of underwear from 20th Century Northland
Mim Ringer Gallery, Whangarei Museum 13th December 2019 – 26 April 2020
Included in Kiwi North's general admission.
Join us as we look ‘inside’ and explore those items which over history have prepared us to go ‘out’. Kiwi North’s new exhibition Inside Out delves into the personal and intimate world of underwear and how under-things have been shaped by social etiquette and in turn shaped our bodies. What is a ‘teddy’? What do ‘stays’ do? From the practical to the elaborate, ladies’, men’s, and children’s garments will be on display in their many forms.
